“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share my background and educational experiences with my community. I moved to the States 12 years ago with my family to start a new life. My family fled war and conflict, lost their livelihoods and professions, and arrived in a completely new land in hopes of a better future for their children. I’m greatly appreciative to my parents for their sacrifices. However, growing up in an immigrant family presented financial and academic challenges, but it helped me realize the value of higher education and the need to serve my community.

Living in Stoneybrook Apartments not only provided affordable housing but also introduced me to great financial resources to fund my higher education. I’m a proud recipient of the Leon N. Weiner Education Foundation (LNWEF) Scholarship for the last seven years. With financial support from the LNWEF scholarship, I successfully completed my B.S. Degree in Biological Sciences with a Concentration in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Delaware, and my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Thomas Jefferson University. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Stoneybrook management and the donors of the LNWEF scholarship for this wonderful opportunity. The LNWEF scholarship has greatly reduced the financial burden of completing my degrees and helped me tremendously with focusing on my career. Without the scholarship financial assistance, I would not have been able to engage in research and internship opportunities that prepared me to smoothly transition to my career. With these unique experiences, I was fortunate to land my dream job at Johnson and Johnson MedTech. It is truly a blessing.
